What is involved in the treatment?Appmed House uses Juvederm, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) injection, which is a natural substance that is found in all living organisms, in particular the soft connective tissue in the body and in the fluid surrounding the eyes. HA comes in gel form, often with local anaesthetic added to the syringe to reduce the pain of injection. Local anaesthetic blocks and/or topical anaesthetic creams may also be used to mitigate for any pain. The dermal filler is injected into facial areas to soften wrinkles and facial folds, augment the lip and cheek and to correct asymmetrical facial features. The whole process takes just a few minutes to perform with often dramatic and immediate results. What are the benefits?
Our GP and Registered Nurses strive for a natural, refreshed look and prefer a conservative approach to dermal filling.

What are the risks?HA has few serious side effects but may lead to short term redness and swelling that rarely lasts beyond a couple of hours. Keeping the area cool and restricting fluid intake for a few hours is more than adequate to reduce this problem. There are many dermal fillers on the market today with varying results and side effects. When considering which clinic and filler to use be aware that you should look for a Registered Medical Practitioner, with significant experience in Dermal Filler treatment and its potential side effects, to provide the best information and safest prescription of this medicine. |
