Mole Removal

mole removal(1)(copy) Minor surgery for the removal of moles with a Surgitron machine.

The procedure by our GP is painless and can be used for benign moles, skin tags, seborrhoeic and senile keratosis.
What is involved in the treatment?

After the injection of a small amount of local anaesthetic the mole is shaved off of the skin using a tungsten wire carrying radiowaves. The radiowaves provide cutting and cautery allowing virtually bloodless surgery.

Specimans of the mole are submitted to the laboratory for histological examination and the results sent to the patient’s General Practitioner.

Complications are generally not serious and temporary and the wound heals by forming a small scab that falls off after about 7 – 10 days. No stitches or sutures are required.
